WHAT BCC IS ALL ABOUT!
The Bethany Compassion Center (BCC) team is passionate about providing immediate relief in times of crisis and guiding people toward long-term solutions. From groceries and school supplies to education, counseling services, and Christ-centered recovery, the BCC takes a holistic approach to serving people in need. The BCC offers an environment of love, compassion, and hope where authentic relationships can flourish.
The BCC is in Everett, Washington, the largest city and county seat of Snohomish County. Within the Everett School District, 46% of the population lives below the federal poverty level, and 22% of county residents are considered the “working poor” – struggling to stay above the poverty level. There has been an overall 50% increase in unsheltered homeless persons since 2013; the number of homeless students in the school district has more than doubled from the 2007-2008 school year. The Everett school district is projected to grow by another 1,600 students in the next decade.
BCC reaches out through 30 outreach programs to people in need throughout Snohomish County. Over 50,000 acts of compassion were shared last year alone, and there will be more this year. Those are big numbers making a huge impact. But the smallest of numbers is also a vital number. One. As in one person. One family. How do you meet the needs of many? One by one. Listen to these stories of people experiencing love, kindness, and compassion one by one.
